What to expect

You will be welcomed with a traditional ceremony that cleanses and wards off bad spirits.

Your First Nations guide will lead you on a walk that meanders through stunning locations within Bundeena. Your experienced interpretive Indigenous guide will demonstrate traditional plant use, identify bush food sources and provide an enchanting narrative of the harbour and their special relationship with the local First Nations.

Visit Jibbon Beach, an important ceremonial site for many of the Sydney First Nations, and home to the Dharawal people of the Tharawal Nation. Come along and experience the truly stunning etchings and their surrounds and learn about traditional lifestyles including a diverse array of bush foods, the ample fresh water and a plentiful supply of seafood from the ocean. It was paradise for the local Aboriginal people for thousands of years.

Then enjoy a bush foods lunch.

Experience the world's oldest living culture through bush food tasting and demonstrations. Join our passionate First Nations guides to discover how to incorporate native Australian bush foods with everyday ingredients. Use a traditional coolamon to gather seasonal fruits, seeds, berries, native vegetables and plants from around before learning about traditional food preparation methods and tasting your very own bush food infused recipes.

Gain a deeper understanding of First Nations heritage and culture as well as connection to Country and use traditional methods to gather and prepare food.
